We need to see the bigger picture of a catastrophic situation. I recently gave some views on why a global refugee crisis has to be answered by Europe and not just by nation states. Ahead of the EU-Summit in Brussel I was interviewed by BBC World Service – this is my full interview on behalf of European Movement Germany. I gave credits to Relief & Reconciliation for Syria which I could visit last year in Lebanon. Also mentioned a great study of EM Germany’s member organisation Bertelsmann Stiftung Berlin, which shows that EU citizens are more open to help refugees than their governments.
