Aber die Marken mit bedeutenden Kathedralen und Kl\u00f6stern in Braunschweig, Ottbergen, Hildesheim, Marienrode, Amelungsborn, Corvey machen zusammen mit dem ungemein sch\u00f6nen Weserbergland einen wunderbaren Jakobsweg.<\/p>\n<p>Erst im August 2017 konnte ich von Braunschweig aus den Weg gehen. Die ganze Etappe wollte ich\u00a0 zwischen zwei Bahnstationen laufen. Und der Eindruck dieser immer noch stolzen Welfenstadt war erstaunlich gut. Doch sind die rekonstruierten &#8222;Traditionsinseln&#8220; f\u00fcr den Jakobsweg ein Segen. Dem Weg folgend werden die wichtigsten historischen Pl\u00e4tze ersichtlich. Buntstifte der Kindergruppen lagen ebenso bereit, wie handgemachte gesellschaftskritische Ausstellungen und, passend zum Jahr, ganz viele Austellungen zum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luther2017.de\/de\/\">500-Jahre-Luther-Jahr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ein tollen Beispiel war die letzte Kirche mit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/pilgerstempel\/\">Pilgerstempel<\/a> auf dem Braunschweiger Weg: Die Kreuzkirche in Lehndorf. Erfrischender Glaube mit Bezug zur <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Communaut%C3%A9_de_Taiz%C3%A9\">Taiz\u00e9-Idee<\/a>. Damit die n\u00e4chste Etappe nach Marienrode hinter Hildesheim nicht noch l\u00e4nger wird als bisher geplant, habe ich noch die Bahnstation von Woltwiesche mitgenommen. Dann ging&#8217;s wieder zur\u00fcck. Tsch\u00fc\u00df, Mini-Ruhrgebiet.<\/p>\n<p>Erst im Oktober ging es dann in Niedersachsen weiter. Diesmal sollte es in den Landkreis Hildesheim gehen.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.de\/tour\/23681731\/embed\" width=\"640\" height=\"440\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Zun\u00e4chst hatte ich geplant, von Woltwiesche direkt nach Marienrode zu pilgern. Aber die<br \/>\nfreundlichen Benediktinerinnen meinten, ich sollte vor 17 Uhr im <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kloster-marienrode.de\/\">Kloster Marienrode<\/a> sein. Deshalb machte ich doch noch einen Zwischenstopp. Und zwar in einem Gasthof in <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/St._Cosmas_und_Damian_(W%C3%B6hle)\">W\u00f6hle<\/a>. Der Gasthof am Rande des Dorfes war dann eine Zeitreise in die Siebziger. Sehr spooky und sicher ein Ort f\u00fcr einen spannendtollen Schwedenkrimi-Plot. Der Gastwirt konnte sich kaum artikulieren. Aber was ich verstand war, dass mein Zimmer keinen Schl\u00fcssel h\u00e4tte. Kinderspiel, log ich laut vor mich hin, wer braucht schon einen Schl\u00fcssel? 20 EUR cash und die Versicherung, dass ich fr\u00fch um 6 Uhr herausm\u00fcsste. Oh, bitte kein Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck! Mit Taschenlampe aus W\u00f6hle raus also gen Hildesheim.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.de\/tour\/23717742\/embed\" width=\"640\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Zun\u00e4chst tauchte der seltsam deplatziert wirkende Wallfahrtsort Ottbergen aus der nieders\u00e4chsischen Landschaft auf. Das Franziskanerkloster und die katholische Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus wirkten abweisend. Aber vielleicht war es einfach zu fr\u00fch am Tage. Das Dorf ist ein typisches Vorstadtdorf, breite Wege und Gehsteige f\u00fchren zu breiten Vorg\u00e4rten, die von breiten Wohnzimmerfenstern beschattet werden. Manch einer wird hier das Leben nur im \u00fcberdimensionierten Haus mit Garten, im Auto und am Arbeitsplatz verbringen. Bis an die Weser werde ich noch viele solcher D\u00f6rfer durchschreiten. Dann kam der Kreuzberg au\u00dferhalb des Dorfes. Die Wallfahrt auf diesen Berg begann schon im 17. Jahrhundert. Aber die Kreuzwegstationen sind offensichtlich sehr vom Kulturkampf der Katholiken dieser Gegend gepr\u00e4gt und lassen auch eine politische Rolle in der Nazidiktatur\u00a0 erahnen. Ein Ort des 19.\/20. Jahrhunderts. Selbst eine <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ottbergen_(Schellerten)#\/media\/File:Ottbergen_Grotte_Maria.JPG\">Lourdes-Grotte<\/a> fehlt hier nicht.<\/p>\n<p>Was folgte ist ein toller Bergr\u00fccken Richtung Hildesheim, der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vorholz_(H\u00f6henzug)\">Vorholz<\/a>. Einziges Manko: Seit dem Spukgasthof gab es noch keine Gelegenheit zum Kaffee. Eigentlich ist jede Autobahn auf einer Wanderung \u00e4rgerlich. Aber die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.serways.de\/standorte\/standortdetails\/hildesheimer-boerde-west\/\">Rastst\u00e4tte Hildesheimer B\u00f6rde<\/a> brachte dann doch das angemessene Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck.<\/p>\n<p>Der Vorholz ist ein idealer Einstieg nach <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikivoyage.org\/wiki\/Hildesheim\">Hildesheim<\/a>: vom gr\u00fcnen R\u00fccken in die Stadt. Ich sage es gleich: Hildesheim ist eine Art nieders\u00e4chsisches Paderborn. Die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dommuseum-hildesheim.de\/de\/domfoyer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museums-Cafete im Domfoyer<\/a> bemerkte meinen Pilgerrucksack und gab mir gleich einen Gratis-Latte. Den bekommen allerdings alle, die einfach nicht zahlen k\u00f6nnen\/wollen. Beruhigend, Aufmerksamkei aber keine Bevorzugung. Aber ich musste noch weiter, <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Knochenhaueramtshaus_(Hildesheim)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Knochenhaueramtshaus<\/a> und die fulminante <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelis-hildesheim.wir-e.de\/aktuelles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Michaelis-Kirche<\/a>. In Hildesheim stie\u00df ich auf die <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jakobswege-europa.de\/wege\/via-scandinavica.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8222;Via Scandinavica&#8220;<\/a>, der Jakobsweg, der von Fehmarn nach S\u00fcden f\u00fchrt. So ausgeschildert geht es \u00fcber den Moritzberg Richtung Lerchenberg, mit viel Fernsicht vom Panoramaweg. Aber langsam kann ich mein Ziel nicht mehr erwarten: das erste echte noch im urspr\u00fcnglichen Sinne genutzte Kloster auf meinem Weg, nach \u00fcber 400 Kilometern! Das <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kloster-marienrode.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kloster Marienrode<\/a> wird von 15 Benediktinerinnen im Glauben belebt. Im Exerzitien- und G\u00e4stehaus bekam ich eine Unterkunft, l\u00e4ngst kein Pilgerzimmer, sondern ein wahres Hotelzimmer mit Blick auf das Klostergel\u00e4nde. Am Abend nahm ich am <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kloster-marienrode.de\/gemeinschaft\/tagesablauf\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Komplet<\/a> teil. Ich h\u00e4tte hinter Diekholzen noch l\u00e4nger der Via Scandinavica folgen k\u00f6nnen, aber irgendwie habe ich mir meinen eigenen Weg gebastelt und bog hinter dem Ort auf direkterem Wege nach Alfeld ab. Statt \u00fcber Eberholzen zu laufen nahm ich einen direkteren Weg \u00fcber M\u00f6llensen. Hinter dem Wald zwischen Diekholzen zwischen M\u00f6llensen und Sibbesse hat mich <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sturmtief_Xavier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Xavier<\/a> erwischt. Heftige Sturmb\u00f6en zwangen mich dazu hinter Hecken auf dem Boden auszuharren, bis es dann weiter durch das Warnetal nach Alfeld ging.<\/p>\n<p>Wirkten die ersten Ausl\u00e4ufer von Alfeld schon sehr industriell gepr\u00e4gt, so f\u00e4llt bei Alfeld selbst zun\u00e4chst die Papierfabrik mit ihrem enormen Schornstein auf. Aber auf den zweiten Blick ist Alfeld ein wundersch\u00f6nes Fachwerkst\u00e4dtchen. Passend riss nach dem enormen Sturm der Himmel auf und Alfeld gl\u00e4nzte.<\/p>\n<p>Und mitten im Fachwerkkern von Alfeld sollte meine \u00dcbernachtungst\u00e4tte liegen. Die bemerkenswert lebendige evangelische St. Nicolai-Gemeinde hat auf Vermittlung der katholischen Gemeinde mir einen Raum im Gemeindezentrum zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellt. Zun\u00e4chst stand aber das Fagus-Werk an. Ich entscheid mich zu einem Umweg als Architekturpilger.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.de\/tour\/23775597\/embed\" width=\"640\" height=\"580\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Das <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fagus-werk.com\/\">Fagus-Werke<\/a> sind etwas f\u00fcr Liebhaber der Industriearchitektur. Seit ich noch in der DDR das Bauhaus gesehen habe und dort merkte, wieviel schwulstiger Neobarock erst in den Jahrzehnten danach entstand, fasziniert mich diese Avantgarde. Das Architekturdenkmal ist eine private Liebhaberei mit gro\u00dfem Informationswert. Als Pilger bin ich gewohnt, alleine zu gehen. Den Weg, den ich einschlug, f\u00fchrte in irgendwelche h\u00fcgeligen Wiesen im Alfelder Umfeld. Der unausgeschilderte Weg f\u00fchrte mich durch wuppertal\u00e4hnliche Ortschaften in eine Waldlandschaft, die pl\u00f6tzlich verwirrend \u00fcberausgeschildert war, mehrfach stie\u00df ich auf den <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Europ%C3%A4ischer_Fernwanderweg_E11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fernwanderweg E11<\/a>. Zwischen Duinger Berg und Hils arbeitete ich mich durch nasse Wiesen und Wald durch, bis ich auf den <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ith\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ithkamm<\/a> stie\u00df. Zu meiner Entt\u00e4uschung fand ich keinen Einstieg in die Felsenwege. Aber ich war irgendwie auch durch. Nur bald ins Kloster! Aber nach dem Pass musste ich noch durch das Lennetal mit seinem Autoschlafdorf <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scharfoldendorf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scharfoldendorf<\/a> zum Anstieg auf die Ausl\u00e4ufer des <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vogler\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vogler<\/a>. Der anschlie\u00dfende Ausblick vers\u00f6hnte mich. Das Kloster hat einen erstaunlich evangelischen Abt und praktischerweise Pilgerzimmer. Die weitl\u00e4ufige Anlage ist aus d\u00fcsterem Stein gebaut, aber doch fast alternativ-\u00f6kologisch gestaltet. Im G\u00e4stehaus traf ich auf die ersten echten Pilgerinnen seit Berlin. Sie wanderten allerdings quer zu mir. Der Pilgerweg Loccum-Volkenroda kreuzt meinen freilich inoffiziellen Jakobsweg nach Corvey. Meine Herbergsschwestern tauten nach einiger Zeit bei Rotwein und Pizza auf. Beides hatten wir frecher- und verdienterweise per Lieferservice bestellt. Meine Kolleginnen brachten interessante Lebenserfahrungen mit, aus schwerer Krankheit und aus der Hilfe f\u00fcr Gefl\u00fcchtete. Die Gastgeber waren \u00fcbrigens \u00e4u\u00dferst nett, wenn auch eigen. Ich habe schon wieder geschlunzt. Eigentlich h\u00e4tte ich locker einen Abschnitt \u00fcber den <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pilgerweg_Loccum%E2%80%93Volkenroda\">Pilgerweg Loccum-Volkenroda<\/a> laufen k\u00f6nnen.\u00a0 Allerdings h\u00e4tte ich bis auf das unendliche und recht traurige Holzminden auch einige nette Landschaften und das Schloss Bevern verpasst. Danach trennte sich meine erste Pilgergemeinschaft mit anst\u00e4ndigem Abstand. Singlepilgern war angesagt und mein Weg sollte eh bald Richtung Weser weisen. Bevern kannte ich noch aus meinem Geschichtsstudium. Das <a href=\"http:\/\/schloss-bevern.de\/\">Weserrenaissance-Schloss<\/a> ist sehenswert, wenn auch in seiner Geschichte bedauernswert. Zwischen Bevern und Holzminden wurde es ausnehmend langweilig. In Holzminden selbst f\u00fchrte mich mein Weg an unendlichen Pionier-Kasernen vorbei. Ein erstes Zeichen, dass bald ein gr\u00f6\u00dferer Fluss kommt. Holzminden selbst machte fast so einen traurigen Eindruck wie Helmstedt. Irgendwie Zonenrandgebiet. Und ich dachte immer jenseits der Weser in H\u00f6xter sei es ohne Zukunft.\u00a0 Aber vielleicht war ich auch nur an einem falschen Tag in der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deutschlandfunkkultur.de\/holzminden-an-der-weser-die-hauptstadt-der-parfuemeure.942.de.html?dram:article_id=387530\">&#8222;Duftstadt mit Weltgeltung&#8220;<\/a> angelangt. Immerhin wurde hier das Vanillin entdeckt und die meisten Pariser Parf\u00fcms haben hier ihre Grundlagen. Aber wenn es Wohlstand geben sollte, so ganz sicher nicht in der oft verlassenen Altstadt. Immerhin war die <a href=\"http:\/\/www.luther-holzminden.de\/lutherkirche\">ev. Lutherkirche<\/a> eine &#8222;verl\u00e4sslich ge\u00f6ffnete Kirche&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Aber dann, endlich endlich, erreiche ich gleich bei der Kirche und hinter dem selten republikanischen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.historisches-weserbergland.de\/entdecken\/historische-staedte\/holzminden\/reichspraesidentenhaus.html\">Reichspr\u00e4sidentenhaus<\/a> die Weser, der Grenzfluss zu Nordrhein-Westfalen. Irgendwo in den Weserauen zwischen Kiesgruben kam ich dann etwas s\u00fcdlicher \u00fcber die Grenze.
