Europ\u00e4ische Demokratie, Solidarit\u00e4t und Handlungsf\u00e4higkeit. Vor dem Sommer konnte ich ein wenig f\u00fcr europapolitische Positionierung der katholischen Kirche in Deutschland zuarbeiten.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Hier sind die drei zusammengefassten Leitgedanken:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Demokratische EU<\/strong>: Die EU muss ihre demokratischen Grundwerte und die offene Gesellschaft gegen Extremismus und Nationalismus verteidigen, indem sie Freiheit, Menschenw\u00fcrde und Rechtsstaatlichkeit st\u00e4rkt.<\/li>\n
  2. Solidarische EU<\/strong>: Solidarit\u00e4t ist zentral f\u00fcr die EU, sowohl in der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung ihrer Mitgliedstaaten als auch in der Bew\u00e4ltigung globaler Herausforderungen wie Klimaschutz und Migration.<\/li>\n
  3. Handlungsf\u00e4hige EU<\/strong>: Angesichts geopolitischer Bedrohungen, insbesondere des Krieges in der Ukraine, muss die EU ihre Verteidigungsf\u00e4higkeit und Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit sichern, um Wohlstand und Sicherheit zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Die Bisch\u00f6fliche Arbeitsgruppe Europa hat die Stellungnahme zu den aktuellen Herausforderungen der Europ\u00e4ischen Union im Juli ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Unter der Leitung von Bischof Dr. Franz-Josef Overbeck befasst sich die Gruppe mit wichtigen Themen wie Migration, Klimawandel, sozialer Gerechtigkeit und der St\u00e4rkung der europ\u00e4ischen Integration. Die Stellungnahme richtet sich an alle, die in der Europapolitik Verantwortung tragen.<\/p>\n

    Ich bin seit 2016 Berater der Bisch\u00f6flichen Arbeitsgruppe Europa bei der Deutschen Bischofskonferenz. In dieser Funktion unterst\u00fctze ich die Gruppe bei der Analyse und Bew\u00e4ltigung europ\u00e4ischer Herausforderungen und tr\u00e4ge zur Formulierung von Stellungnahmen und Empfehlungen bei.<\/p>\n
